| description | This article is the result of a research, whose objective was to analyze the capital market products most used by exporting SMEs in the city of Barranquilla, the descriptive method was applied, with the survey research technique, to a stratified sample of 45 companies. The type of research is quantitative and for the approach of the research, a documentary review of the situation of the small and medium exporting companies in the local environment was carried out, as well as a study to know the degree of use that these companies have of the products of the capital market, identifying the benefit that the SMEs have when using efficiently the securities offered by the financial sector. It was concluded that there is a low participation in the consumption of capital market products by exporting SMEs with a negative effect on the activities of the export sector, particularly in the city of Barranquilla, which impacts the economic results of the country and the region. |

El presente artículo es producto de una investigación, cuyo objetivo consistió en analizar los productos del mercado de capitales más utilizados por las pymes exportadoras en la ciudad de Barranquilla, se aplicó el método descriptivo, con la técnica de investigación la encuesta, a una muestra estratificada de 45empresas. El tipo de investigación es cuantitativo y para el abordaje de la investigación, se realizó una revisión documental de la situación de las pequeñas y medianas empresas exportadoras en el entorno local así como también, un estudio para conocer el grado de utilización que tienen dichas empresas de los productos del mercado de capitales, identificando el beneficio que tienen las PYMES al utilizar de forma eficiente los títulos valores ofrecidos por el sector financiero. Se concluyó que existe una baja participación en el consumo de productos del mercado de capitales de las Pymes exportadoras con un efecto negativo en las actividades del sector exportador, particularmente en la ciudad de Barranquilla, que impactan en los resultados económicos del país y la región.
