Taking into account the above, also starting from the versatility that the Technological Surveillance presents, and besides this has the ability to adjust to different environments and contexts, it turns into a strong reason for conducting this article, analyzing its applicability as a tool for the application of a Strategic Project Management, based in the parameters established by PMBOK, observing the considerations for its application from the start, planning, execution, monitoring and control phases; as well as its relevance as a support tool in the development and monitoring of management plans for management, human resources, quality and acquisitions. |

En un entorno de competitividad, las empresas se encuentran en una búsqueda constante de información que les permita establecer sus planes estratégicos de desarrollo. Debido a esto se concibe la Vigilancia Tecnológica, desarrollada con la intención de brindar soporte a través de la observación y el análisis de las variables internas y externas que definen el universo de una organización. Dicho lo anterior y partiendo de la versatilidad que presenta la Vigilancia Tecnológica, al tener la capacidad de ajustarse a diferentes entornos y contextos, es motivo de investigación del presente artículo, analizar su aplicabilidad como herramienta para la aplicación de una Gerencia Estratégica de Proyectos, basada en los parámetros establecidos por PMBOK, observando las consideraciones para su aplicación desde las fases de inicio, planificación, ejecución, monitoreo y control; así como su pertinencia como herramienta de apoyo en el desarrollo y seguimiento de los planes de gestión para la dirección, recursos humanos, calidad y adquisiciones.
