The following article presents a reflection on the importance of assertive communi-cation in the strategic direction and execution of projects highlighting the importance of com-munication as a vital process and inherent part of the human being, is based ona series of authors who support from a existing communication practices of a positive or negative type, becoming a guiding element and that can be used assertively by managers in the different or-ganizations or work contexts, concepts such as assertiveness in communication seen as a social skill are also taken up. Means of which ideas, opinions and feelings are shown in a clear, direct, balanced, honest and respectful way, among others. Finally, the value of the management of assertive communication is mentioned as a vital tool that should be leveraged by the managers of the organizations from the planning and strategic direction in order to be able to guarantee competitive advantages, through the development of effective practices of leadership and totalintegration

Finally, the value of the management of assertive communication is mentioned as a vital tool that should be leveraged by the managers of the organizations from the planning and strategic direction in order to be able to guarantee competitive advantages, through the development of effective practices of leadership and totalintegration El siguiente artículo presenta una reflexión acerca la importancia de la comunicación asertiva en el direccionamiento estratégico y ejecución de proyectos resaltando la importancia de la comunicación como un proceso vital y parte inherente al ser humano, se apoya en una serie de autores que dan soporte desde una mirada de las prácticas comunicacionales existentes de tipo positivo o negativo convirtiéndose entonces, en elemento orientador y que puede ser empleado asertivamente por gerentes en las diferentes organizaciones o contextos laborales, también se retoman conceptos tales como asertividad en la comunicación vista como una destreza social, por medio de la cual se muestran ideas, opiniones y sentimientos de forma clara, directa, equilibrada, honesta y respetuosa entre otros. Finalmente se menciona el valor de la gestión de la comunicación asertiva como una herramienta de vital relevancia que deben potencializar los gerentes de las organizaciones desde la planeación y el direccionamiento estratégico con el fin de poder garantizar ventajas competitivas, a través del desarrollo de prácticas efectivas de liderazgo y la integración total.
