For this reason, the economic efficiency presented by the circular economy models compared to the construction sector in Colombia was analyzed. This project was carried out with a type of research with a qualitative approach, with a descriptive scope. The type of research in which the methodological design was framed was an action research, as a technique a documentary review was implemented, where thestatistical and sustainability reports of the construction sector were part of the information used. As a result of the research, it was initially possible to identify the circular economy models applied in the construction sector. Likewise, the economic-environmental impact of these could be analyzed. Finally, the feasibility of using circular economy models in the construction sector was determined. Concluding that the circular economy is a strategy that allows addressing the new challenges facing the construction sector in Colombia. |

El sector de construcción en su favorable aporte a la modernización y a la economía del país, hace uso de materias primas altamente contaminantes, las cuales al ser desechadas al final de su ciclo generan un alto impacto sobre el ambiente, por tal motivo el objeto de esta investigación se centró en la recuperación y reinserción de dichos residuos a la economía. Por tal motivo, se analizó la eficiencia económica que presentaban los modelos de la economía circular frente al sector de construcción en Colombia. Este proyecto se realizó con un tipo de investigación con enfoque cualitativo, con un alcance descriptivo. El tipo de investigación en el que se en marco el diseño metodológico fue una investigación acción, como técnica se implementó una revisión documental, donde los informes estadísticos y de sostenibilidad del sector de construcción hicieron parte de la información utilizada. Como resultado de la investigación se logró inicialmente identificar los modelos de la economía circular aplicados en el sector de construcción. Así mismo, se pudo analizar el impacto económico-ambiental de estos. Finalmente, se determinó la viabilidad de la utilización de los modelos de la economía circular en el sector de construcción. Concluyendo que la economía circular es una estrategia que permite abordar los nuevos retos a los que enfrenta el sector de construcción en Colombia.
